CATrail
Light
Rail for Las Vegas

Welcome!
We’re
glad you stopped by to learn more about CATrail,
a true rapid transit system proposed for the Las Vegas Valley.
CATrail is composed of 3 lines serving 8
specific routes. The destinations
covered are Summerlin and Boulder
Highway via Sahara Avenue, North Las Vegas,
Downtown Las Vegas and McCarran
International Airport
via Maryland Parkway.
The
primary line to be constructed would link McCarran International
Airport to Downtown Las
Vegas via Maryland Parkway
and Sahara Avenue. Downtown becomes a transit circulator route
in its own right, running up Las
Vegas Blvd. to Main Street, then turning southeast
on Ogden, to Maryland. From the airport
bound for downtown, trains serving the “A” route take Sahara Avenue to the Downtown Transit
Center, and trains
serving the “B” route take Maryland
Parkway.
They both serve the same destinations, just at different points along
their routes.
The
stations are spaced about a mile apart on average and are as follows:
- Paradise Road
- Government Center
- DTC
- Huntridge Circle
- Sunset Hospital
- Boulevard
Mall
- UNLV North
- UNLV South/Thomas and Mack Center
- McCarran International
Airport
